RUNNING for "T" & Me!

I am NOT a runner, but if people can do a marathon or 1/2 marathon for "T" Poll I CAN do the Ogden 5K while they are killing themselves doing the other. Right now I am doing it alone which may be best I wouldn't want to hold anyone up with how slow I am. I have never done anything like this. I have found that it has been quite addicting. Thanks to my friend who told me about this cool site: http://www.usatf.org/routes/ You can track the route you have taken from your house or wherever you are. It is fun tracking the different routes to take to make sure I do the 3+ miles. I got a good pair of shoes last Summer and that made a world of difference on my knees. I always blamed I can't run my knees are just too bad and ache, but with the right equipment no longer a problem. I am hoping to be faster by the run on the 21st of May. I was doing good last summer and the first of the fall, but I was a wimp with the cold and dark, so I slacked in the winter. I have been back on the move the nice days and done much better this last week. I can't believe I am even thinking of signing up for West Haven's 5K for WH Days in June. I signed Tanner up for the Kid K so that will be good for him, although he could almost do the 5k with his energy he has. He is my little motivator and has told me "Mom we got to go run so I can do the Kid K." Amazing what kids can make ya do huh.

  1. Go Bets you can do it!!! Just wish I could be at the finish line to give you a big hug. Although I am happy you are doing the 5k, I'm counting on you sticking around to cheer me on during the 1/2 marathon. Heaven knows I'll need it. T is so proud of all of us.
