The Climb

So the first song that plays on my blog now is "The Climb," Let me explain.
When I was preparing my talk that I had to give last month on charity that song came on when I was working and hit me and I will admit I started to cry. Good thing I don't work in an office and I am just downstairs all alone. I used this at the end of my talk and thought I would share. My meaning I thought about when listening to it may not be the exact meaning of the song, but I took it as we can never give up on our journey in this life and we just have to keep trying every day to do our very best. Here are the words.
“The Climb”

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most,
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith,
It's all about, the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith!

We have so many things now a days taking us in every direction and distracting us to do what is most important. The Climb. If we don’t make the Climb we won’t be able to even see what is at the other side of that mountain.
All we can do is the best we can. One of my favorite sayings is: Good Better Best, Never let it rest, till good is better and better is best! I am still working on that Best part but as long as I am doing a little better everyday I know that I will make it.

Richard C Edgley in the October Conf said:
“Because of the conflicts and challenges we face in today’s world, I wish to suggest a single choice - a choice of peace and protection and a choice that is appropriate for all. That choice is faith…. So I say, choose faith. Choose faith over doubt, choose faith over fear, choose faith over the unknown and the unseen, and choose faith over pessimism.” (Another one of my favorites now, I even posted on my blog on the side bar as a reminder every time I pull up my blog.)

1Corinthians 13:13 Says:
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
& Moroni 7:47
But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

What can we do Today, to be a little better, to help us have more charity.
Lets Choose Faith and Lets Choose Charity!
