Chris & Me, then we met up with Diana later
Me and My "T" Man!!
I DID IT!!! What a Day!!! It was an AWESOME Feeling and accomplishment to be in a real race and go across the finish line! I was grateful that my long time friend Chris called and we ran together. I did warn her I was slow ahead of time!! I made a day of it for the most part and stayed to watch all the people I knew cross the finish line, plus saw a few more I didn't know were running and Tanner ran in the Kid K with his cousins Max & Asher. He was so cute running around here and there with me after Dad dropped him off and after his race he said "Mom I ran so fast at the end I thought I was going to throw up!" I said "Well I had the same feeling, so you did Good!" I am grateful for the motivation from everyone that helped me keep going in this and I never thought I would say I like running, but it is growing on me, so I hope my tailbone and knee get feeling better soon so I can get out again and I may just be signing up for another one. (Another story to tell on the injury, I guess I am not as young as I used to be, at least on Roller Blades Anyway!!)
Roller Blades??? Sore tail bone??? Sounds like a good story...do tell!! Betsy I am so proud of you. Just wish I could of been at the finsh line cheering you on, instead you were there for me and I loved it. Thanks for being my cheerleader and photograhper - you are amazing. It was so good to see everyone. Love ya - Diana
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Betsy! A 5K is hard work, but it does pay off. I am sorry about your injuries. I know the same thing would happen to me if I tried roller blaring. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl! So happy for you and this 1st 5K, won't be the last. :) It is a great feeling to do it, feel the energy of the other racers, etc. Hope you get better and maybe we can do one when I'm in UT. Hugs!
