Happy GREEN Day
So what do you do on St. Patties Day?!?! I need to be a more creative fun mom on holidays. It was on a Saturday, so it wasn't quite as fun for the kids not getting to go to school and celebrate, but I did make Green Pancakes & Green Milk. They thought it was pretty cool. For some reason, I just don't like my food colored, I know it tastes the same, but psychologically to me it is different. I know I am weird!!! Happy Green Day!!! Green is Jason's Favorite Color, so I guess this is his favorite day too!

HAPPY 91
MY GRANDMA!!!
I am so honored and blessed to have my Grandma still alive and a part of my life. It has been so much fun to be able to have her live with my parents. I am able to see her almost every week. She turned 91 and even though she says she doesn't know why she is still here, I think it is because we need her!! My kids have been able to get to know her and have a relationship with her. Brylee just LOVES Grandma Great!! She is one of the first to go and give her hugs and kisses and just lay on the bed with her and sit with her. If Brylee is coming, Grandma always saves some fruit, especially strawberries that is always in a bowl by her bed just because she knows Brylee loves them. This is a very common sight in Grandma's Room when Brylee is around. We LOVE you Grandma Great!!!

Jr. Jazz Basketball

(Coach Casey, Cutler, Carson, Jaydon, Davis, Korbin, Tanner, Dallin, Coach Casey)
Tanner played on the same team that they created for comp in the fall as recreation this year. He and Cutler played up to play with the other boys in the neighborhood on the 3rd grade level. They have had a GREAT year and haven't lost a game, we have one more game left. We told Tanner we would give him $1 a point that he makes and maybe that wasn't such a good thing because we ended up owing him a lot more then we thought we would. It was our thoughts to get him to be more aggressive and it sure worked. We tried to change our minds, but he was smart and said no way, you said $1 a point. The city always does team pictures through a company, but I hate spending the money to get them when I can do them for so much cheaper. I did them for our team this year and I think they turned out really cool. I really do enjoy watching Tanner play Basketball he is really good, he got the talent from his Dad for sure. Grandpa Ray was a great supporter of Tanner this season, I think he only missed one game and that was because he was out of town. Until next season!!

FAREWELL HONDA
Jason bought his 1993 Honda Accord in 1994 and he has babied it for almost 20 years. We found a heck of a deal on a truck, so we decided to put both vehicles up for sale so we wouldn't have two gas guzzlers, and his Honda Sold in less then 24 hours. It was a big thing for him to sale the Honda, but he does love his truck. We still haven't sold the Explorer, I we think we will hold off a year then get something in place of the Explorer. The kids LOVE the truck just as much as Jason. They think it is pretty cool and tell everyone, "We have a Truck!" Like they care, but they are excited and it is cute.

Babysitter Swap
Crayon Making Tanner & Emma's Favorite thing to do together.
They set up a shop to sale the crayons.
Too bad it was after dark and no one was around!
They took them to school & sold some, I think they
ended up making about $7. Pretty Good for 8 yr olds.
Tanner & Emma
Brielle & Brylee
I know I am a big time cheap wad. It is just sooooo hard getting a babysitter to go out on a date with Jason, so we just DON'T! First because we are going out to spend money, and then we have to pay someone to watch our kids and it cost as much or more then it did for our dinner out. Second, Jason is gone most days and doesn't even get to see the kids all day so hates to leave them at night too. I know I am totally sounding like a cheap skate. We have my niece that watches them and we pay her, and a few girls in the ward that are great as well, but we just don't go out much and I know it is important so we finally found a babysitter swap. Tanner has a cute friend in his class they used to be in our ward until the boundaries changed and they have two girls the same age as our two kids. We had a play date with them in January and then I got talking to Rachel and asked her if once a month they would want to watch our kids and another day we will watch their kids so they can go on a date. We started last month and it was great. Even though we were gone for like 5 hours each the kids were still wanting to play and not leave. So now Jason and I can finally date again. I hope it continues to work out as our kids get a long so well together.
