For the LOVE of Cookies

This is one of my favorite things to do with the kids around Valentines Day!! I make Sugar Cookies (hearts, bears, & trucks) and we get all my decorating stuff out and the kids make a huge mess and have fun decorating cookies with way too much frosting and candies. They are serious about their cookies and it is a lot of fun.
My Baby Girl loved the candies!
My little "T Man" very serious about his cookies!

Chandler was the winner of the most candies on his cookie!
After the kids had enough we sent them out to play and Kelsey
& I finished them up, it was just as much fun for us too!!

Brinley did a great job and was very creative

Dylan I think had the most fun.

Cutie Sasha!! Quinten and his Truck!! Kelsey & Sasha!!

ALMOST 40

Jas & Kirk

The guys chillin' (Chad, Jason, Steve, Monte, Alex, Kirk, Travis)

Monte, Chad, Steve, Kirk & Jason

I married an old man. No really I didn't, but he will be 40 soon. It has already begun, his friends have started to turn the big 40! Kirk is Jasons cousin and he and Jason had planned for us to go out to dinner at the beginning of the month. Little did Kirk know that after they had planned that Natalie and I were starting plans to change the arrangement and plan a get together to surprise Kirk for his big "40!" We decide to have a few old friends over to our house for dinner. We were going to play games, but had too much fun catchin up. It was a lot of fun seeing the guys all interact together and talk. We had a good time with the girls talking as well, it was fun getting to know some of the wives that I didn't know very well. We hope to get together a little more often now since they had a good time. Jasons big day is in June, so maybe we will do a BBQ or something fun. Watch out Jas, ya never know what I may come up with for your big one!!

Jr. Jazz Meet a Jazz Player

Feb 10th was the meet a Jazz player for the Jr. Jazz in the area. Gordon Hayward was the player that came. Tanner was hoping for D Will, but it wasn't him. D Will got traded shortly after. Jason took Tanner and they had a fun time. This is Tanner in the red jacket. He has really become a Jazz Fan since. They got to ask questions, see him shoot some baskets and all that fun stuff.

The "F" Word

The kids and I were watching one of our favorites shows together the other night. I wasn't really paying attention to what they were saying to each other and all the sudden Tanner said "Mom Brylee said the 'F' Word" I was shocked as I had no idea they even knew what that word was. So I paused the show and wondering what they thought the "F" Word was I said "Well what did she say?" He said very seriously "Fat!" Brylee then looked at me with her sad wide eyes thinking she was going to be in trouble and I said "Oh we don't want to say that people are fat do we!" Brylee said "Well Mom, he was just a little bit fat huh!" As if saying he was a little bit fat made it better!! Kids defiantly just say it how it is.
We were driving in the car yesterday and Brylee kept asking questions to Tanner, it was so funny because Tanner finally said "Brylee quit asking so many questions!" I told him that when he was little he used to ask all kinds of questions too. I love how at this age she is just soaking in all she can and wants to know everything about anything.
Tanner and I went to parent teacher conference the other day and walking out he didn't want to hold my hand. I said "Are you getting to big to hold my hand?" He said "No, it just embarrasses me, but just a little bit!" He didn't want to hurt my feelings, it was cute. He has always been my little buddy and defiantly a Mama's Boy, I gotta soak all that in while I can.
