The kids and I were watching one of our favorites shows together the other night. I wasn't really paying attention to what they were saying to each other and all the sudden Tanner said "Mom Brylee said the 'F' Word" I was shocked as I had no idea they even knew what that word was. So I paused the show and wondering what they thought the "F" Word was I said "Well what did she say?" He said very seriously "Fat!" Brylee then looked at me with her sad wide eyes thinking she was going to be in trouble and I said "Oh we don't want to say that people are fat do we!" Brylee said "Well Mom, he was just a little bit fat huh!" As if saying he was a little bit fat made it better!! Kids defiantly just say it how it is.
We were driving in the car yesterday and Brylee kept asking questions to Tanner, it was so funny because Tanner finally said "Brylee quit asking so many questions!" I told him that when he was little he used to ask all kinds of questions too. I love how at this age she is just soaking in all she can and wants to know everything about anything.
Tanner and I went to parent teacher conference the other day and walking out he didn't want to hold my hand. I said "Are you getting to big to hold my hand?" He said "No, it just embarrasses me, but just a little bit!" He didn't want to hurt my feelings, it was cute. He has always been my little buddy and defiantly a Mama's Boy, I gotta soak all that in while I can.
OH MAN! This post title caught my attention(: That is so funny that Tanner said that. I remember the girls telling me someone said the "S" word. I am glad I asked what it was....."stupid" which we don't say either! They grow up so fast...to not want to hold my hand would make me sad!
