Field Day 2012

Cute Kiddos

My Little Skate Guy
Always fun to have field day the last week of school!!! This year they had bounce houses, the dunk tank, and also they had the skate guy/DJ come too.  It was a day full of lots of fun and no work!!   They got a Popsicle while they bounced and then when they were skating they could buy $1 treats (Snowcones, cottoncandy, pop & etc)!!  I am glad it was a hot day for the sake of the kids in the dunk tank!!  It was a fun day!!

Family Run

The family put together a Family Run.  At first it was going to be a 5K, 10K & 1/2 Marathon, but the ones putting it on were the only ones doing the 1/2 Marathon, so it ended up being a 5K or 10K. The only two who did the 10K were Maxwell & Tanner!  I was proud of Tanner for doing it, he is a little competitive like his Dad, so that helped motivate him and it was so nice Maxwell ran back after he finished so the two of them could finish together.  It was a lot of family fun!  We may make this a Annual or even Semi-Annual Tradition which would be fun!

Cousins

Checking out the Animals!!

The kids love to play.  Eric and Annie are getting a house out in Hooper and needed someone to watch their kids for a couple of hours, so we were glad to help and the kids loved having more kids to play with.   Brylee and Tanner LOVE babies, so they of course held Marshall every chance they got.  Belin was the typical 3 year old, busy, busy, busy, so cute and fun!  Spencer was in town with the kids as well, so Crew came over to play, so we had a good time.  We took a walk over to the chickens, and now they have some cows, sheep and chickens.  It is always fun to go see the animals.  The kids were watching the cows when they all said "EWWWW!!"  I said what, they said, "That cow just walked over and pooped right on that other cow that was laying down!"  We all laughed and thought that was pretty funny.  That night we went over to Mom and Dads and Spencer modeled his outfit for the Family run the next day and we of course had some good laughs with him.  Love family!!  Annie asked when she picked up the kids "What do I owe ya?"  I said "What! Are you kidding me, we are family, that is what we do for each other right!!!"  I am grateful for amazing family that are great examples for my kids too and lots of cousins for my kids to play with!!  They keep each other busy, playing, and having fun together!!!  Play Play Play,  What am I going to do to keep them busy all summer long?!?  I got some plans with the crazy, bizzare holidays, plus Tanner is in a Jr Golf League once a week and Brylee Tumbling once a week, other then that work a few days and lots of playing to be done we hope it will be a good summer!!

Girls Night

Brylee LOVES to have Girls Nights.  When Jason is gone to work and Tanner is off to school and it is just her and I on occasion she will say "It is a Girls Night Huh!!"  I think her favorite thing to do for girls night is her fingers and toes.  Now since the whole month of April we were only home for a week and a half and she was with other people most the month.  The night before I left for Women's Conference and they guys had already left for backpacking I was going to take her out to wherever she wanted and do something with just her.  We of course first did our fingers and toes. At first she wanted to go eat at McDonald's, but I gave her some more ideas, and she then decided she wanted spaghetti, so I took her to Olive Garden, just the two of us, she ended up with Alfredo and loved it.  We then went home and watched a show and stayed up late.  I woke up at 6am to hear throwing up, yup you got it she got the bug.  She had jumped out of bed and I didn't even hear her run to the toilet.  I felt so bad for her and didn't know what to do, I was leaving that evening and didn't want to get Grandma Great or my Dad sick by leaving her with them.  I called Dad and he said she would be fine.  After about 10am she quit throwing up and was fine the rest of the day, not completely herself, but at least she was done with all the throwing up.  I was worried about getting sick, but I was yet blessed again not getting the bug that my kids get.  I don't know how I do it, I think a lot of time it is praying hard, or I talk myself out of being sick, maybe that is just me thinking that, but I do believe people do talk themselves into getting sick, so how about talk themselves out of getting sick?!?  Well its my theory anyway!!
I love the quote above for my Sweet Freckled Girl!!
