2011 Traditional Pictures by the Tree

Here is our photo shoot by the tree this year. When we put the Christmas down, I have a tradition each year to put a family picture in a frame to add to our ornaments for the next year. I didn't do it until we were putting the tree down, and had taken all the stuff down stairs in storage and had a few missed things and knew I sat the framed picture with the other stuff. I thought to ask Brylee, and sure enough, she had taken it and put it in her room, she had a sad face when I told it away and said but I need a picture in my room, so of course I had to find her a frame and now she has a picture of our family in her room on her night stand. We are a HAPPY Family!!!
Well, Most the time anyway!! I say that because right now as I write this Brylee is screaming and throwing a fit, because she is such a tease and does not know when to stop, and got in trouble after Tanner asked her too many times to please stop and she didn't. One day she will realize that she gets out of trouble a lot quicker if she just chills, but until then, she goes to her room for a lot longer then needed.

Comp Basketball

Tanner was on a comp basketball team for winter season, and it is a whole new world compared to recreation ball. They call traveling, fouls, and it is very competitive, hens the name comp. They have two great coaches and I wouldn't want him coached by any others they are so good. They won two games is all, but it was a lot of fun still and a very good experience for the kids. It will be interesting when recreation starts next week how they do. Yes Tanner is the one with the "Pink" shirt under his jersey!! Real MEN wear PINK!!

Best of Friends

We love our friends the Wards, and always have a fun time with them. This year we had pizza and did gingerbread or should I say graham-cracker houses with the kids. I think the hit was the gingerbread marshmallows, & Austin had the most people with his house. They were all very unique and cute for sure. Tanners front of his house had broke and just waiting for a breakdown it didn't happen and he said "its OK, you don't need to fix it, I will just decorate it like this, I have an idea of what to do." Then he came up with a manger house and put the gingerbread men as the Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus laying down in the manger, along with three wise men. Very creative and all on his own. I am so glad we have such best friends. Love ya!

Christmas Tree Jubilee

One of my favorite traditions we do every year is going to "The Christmas Tree Jubilee." It is a much smaller version of the Festival of Trees and all the proceeds go to kids in Weber County and most of it goes to the kids with disabilities in Weber County. This year it creeped up on me fast as Amy called me the week it would happen and asked if we wanted to go, I couldn't miss it, so of course we were going. I had never been on the last night and they do a little craft for the kids and Santa is there, it was a lot of fun. We ate at the Pizza Factory & Jason came this year in the past he had to work when we would go!! The kids were so cute, I had the camera and about every other tree someone wanted a picture in front of another favorite tree. I didn't find anything at the boutique this year, probably because we went so late, but Amy found a cute head band, seriously some people probably would wear it!! If I got the motivation it would be fun to do a tree and donate it one year. Until next year!!
