Swimming

i
The kids LOVE to go swimming. I need to get them into lessons so they can really learn to swim. Swimming is NOT my most favorite thing to do, but you do things you don't want when you have kids. Jason was off and we had promised the kids we would go swimming for Family Night, so after I got off work we headed to go to the Clearfield Pool. We got their and they said we would only have 45 min to swim as they close for lessons then open again from 7-9 for open swim. We ended up going to the Roy Pool and they had a blast. Not much shallow area, but Brylee still had fun and when it was time to go didn't want to leave.
Now if you knew my family growing up you would think I were just like my siblings, but I guess I was the odd one when it came to swimming. My oldest Brother was on the swim team in high school, all of us were on the city swim team but I never made it to any competitions like my older siblings did. I think the short time I was on the team they let me on just because my siblings were on the team. I never even learned to dive that great. Needless to say I was just a wimp!!

"What The"

Brylee's new favorite phrase is "What The!" This is what I woke up to this morning and thought "What The!" when I walked out to see what the kids were up too. I had woke up the kids and they were in my bed watching cartoons, and I had dozed in and out then they went out of my room to play and I was able to fall asleep for a little longer. When I woke up This is what I found.

My hall and living room had been transformed into what they thought was a great play store, kitchen, house, cars and truck play area. I guess my hall way was the spot in the store that the shopping carts go. Just ignore my mess on the couch, yes my laundry that has not yet been folded. Yesterday my hallway consisted of all the trucks, planes, and cars, the rug was the road/runway. Jason finished a room downstairs and the family room down stairs is not finished yet, but finished enough for them play down stairs, but they prefer to bring it all up stairs and make a mess of my area then just keep it in the area they are suppose too. Maybe when the family room down stairs is finished they will be keep it all down stairs. They sure have fun playing together, but when it comes to cleaning up it is a different story. They sure make a mess in a hurry but when I make them clean it up they have to whine and cry for twice as long as it would take to just hall it all back down stairs. But I guess that is the joy of being a parent. I do love that they play so good together and can entertain each other for hours.

This is a picture I had to throw in, Brylee had hauled some of her baby stuff into our room a week or so ago, when I came in to go to bed this is where I found her. I can't imagine that being comfortable at all, but I couldn't resist taking a picture. I remember when she would fall asleep while playing in this and fit so much better. Where has the time gone she is getting so big.

Airforce Museum

We went to the Airforce Museum with last weekend, it happen to be Jason's Day off, so it was good family time too. The kids had a fun time running around and checking out all the planes. I think Jason liked it as much as the kids. he can name so many of the planes and has his favorites he was pointing out to me.

More Girl Stuff

Jason and Tanner went Home Teaching the other night, so Brylee and I had some girl time. Of course Brylee's favorite thing to do is paint her fingers and toes. She would redo them every day if I let her. She is defiantly a girly girl!! Shes likes to do all her fingers and toes a different color. Sometimes I can talk her into one color for all her toes and one color for all her fingers. I told her she is my baby girl and she is growing too fast and she said "I will always be your baby girl, k Mom!" She sure knows how to make you feel good. Is it just my daughter or are all girls full of lots of drama too!! She can be so sweet, but oh she can be so sassy and sure knows how to throw a fit. Jason calls them her out of body experiences. We are glad they are not too often. Her new favorite words are "What The!" She says it all the time and it cracks me up. She has a nick name for Tanner and she is the only one that calls him "Tan!" I am so glad and thankful for my baby girl that makes sure I have pretty fingers and toes.

Girls Nights Out

My Niece, Isabel, had a soccer tournament in St George this last weekend, so about a month ago my Sister invited me to come along on the ride so she didn't have to drive alone. We made it a girls weekend and had a great time. On the way down we stopped for a potty stop in Cedar City and I had to take a picture of Jason and My Lighthouse. The lighthouse he flew me to and proposed in front of nine years ago!! Minus Isabel being sick for the first two days. As we were driving down she was getting sicker and sicker, by the time we got to St George she was burning up. My sister remembered her brother-in-law happen to be in town for a conference, so she called him to come and give her a blessing. Her first game was the next afternoon and she only played the last 5 minutes, her next game was that night and she played the game and then the last game was Sat. afternoon that she played as well. I would say she is the best player on the team, she wasn't quite herself being sick, but she did awesome. The last game went into a shoot out, which I don't think is fair, but what do ya do. The first five girls from each team made an attempt for a goal and after it was still a tie. So the sixth girl was Isabel, she missed and felt horrible, the sixth girl on the other team made it, so Isabel's team lost. I must say it was very intense, Isabel cried and felt like it was her fault that they lost since she was the sixth shooter. The entire game it rained and they were playing on the artificial turf so it had to be miserable for all of them. She was sick but played anyway and gave it her all, so that is all that matters.
We had the hotel until Monday so we made it a fun rest of the weekend. We went over to the Petersen's Condo for a BBQ. Brylee had a fun time playing with Quincey, the pool was closed by the time we were going to take the kids so Brylee and Quincey and swam in the tub. Isabel's Birthday was on Monday so we took brownies, ice-cream, and hot fudge over for brownie sundaes without Isabel knowing and sang to her that night. The rest of the time, the girls went swimming in the rain, we all did some shopping, and lots of eating. The hotel had a nice breakfast and Brylee's favorite was the Hot Chocolate. We visited some of the church sites: Tabernacle, Temple, etc. We watched some movies ate popcorn & ice cream and had a great time together. We called Jason/Tanner each day and Brylee would talk with them and say, "We still havin' a girls night out!" When we left Tanner was pretty sad, he is a Mama's boy so didn't want us to leave him home. I told him he will have fun and told Jason they better do something fun. They went out to dinner with Grandma/pa Ray one night, spent time with Marci & Alex and Alex made his famous Spagetti for them, Tanner got to go to church with Grandma/pa Bowen, Chandler and Dylan. Monday Jason was off so he took him swimming at the Clearfield Aquatic Center and they stopped by and got some Krispee Creams on the way home that we got to enjoy too. I asked Tanner "What his favorite thing when we were gone?" He said "When we got home and I saw you were home and saw you!" He sure knows what to say to his Mom. One day while getting a slow start going we watched the movie Ramona and Bezus, but today Brylee said to me "Mom 'Guts' is a Bad word huh, we shouldn't say that!" In the movie Ramona said at the dinner table I feel like saying a bad word, so her parents said "Ok Go Ahead get it out!" So after a long pause she said "GUTS!" They all laughed, so I thought it was cute she remembered that from the movie and thought it was a bad word. I sure missed my boys, but we had Fun Girls Nights Out as Brylee would say!!!

Our Valentine

My Valentines = My Man, Jason, and my two kiddo's Tanner and Brylee.
Tanner is a Mama's Boy and I hope he always stays that way! Brylee is my little sweetie, she is always the one to give you lots of hugs and kisses when you are happy or sad. Just out of no where she will say "Mom" I say "What" and she says "I Love You!" I am so glad my kids love each other and hope they can be best of friends always.
Now Valentine Day was NOT always a day I really ever liked to be honest. When I got married I guess I just assumed it would be such a great day, but it has taken me years to train My Man and he is finally getting it, I hope I didn't just jinx myself. Valentines day is showing LOVE to the people you care about most but should not only be one day of the year. I do understand that and we are to show love all year long, but for me I guess for Jason to do something for me is big, so when he does it shows me he loves me. Not that he never does anything for me because he does alot. Jason is a major saver and just makes due with what we have, for the most part pays cash for everything, and not much of a spender for the most part, so to me if he spends money on me it is a huge for me. I am greatful that I married someone that I never have to worry about being in major debt or with credit cards at the max or over our heads with things we can't afford. If this tells you something Jason still has his 1993 Honda Accord he bought in 1994, so he doesn't just buy to have what is better and newer. When we first got married I guess he didn't know that Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Birthdays, Christmas include me too and that means he gets for me. Ok I still get for myself sometimes too, but now I tell him I got myself something. I start reminding him ahead of time so he can be thinking and won't forget. This year I didn't do much just bought him some of the things he loves the most like his favorite cereals that I don't always get and black licorice and Reeses Fast Break and etc. Friday night we went to the WSU Celebrating Marriage, this is our third year that I have helped with it. Jason isn't so excited, but when we are driving home he always says how good it was. This year the keynote speakers were John Bythway and his wife they were so funny and you could just see the love they have for each other. We went out to dinner with our best friends Amy and Garrett on Saturday night to the Oaks, it was really good, amazing hot chocolate! On Monday, Valentines Day, we had to work so we worked then when we got home Jason hd stopped and got me Roses, the first he ever has given me roses and got me some cute PJ bottoms. He got the kids both a shirt. Brylee's has two doggies on it and says puppy love and that has become her favorite shirt. Then we went out to Iggy's for Dinner as a family.
HAPPY LOVE DAY MY LOVES!!!
